The Serpentine, a revolution in transport. An efficient, economical and silent alternative to the private car. This miracle is made possible by a magnetic slide block, embedded into the road surface. The cabins slide along this band, which provides them with electric power and drives them to their destination. Constant communication is maintained between them and the central control station. The cabin is big enough for a family, the family dog and their luggage to fit it. It does not function according to a bus timetable but is constantly available, day and night, at the request of the individual. It reaches a top speed of 18 km/h and is controlled by a central control system. It is the fruit of the union between a tram and an electric car. DECISON S.A., in collaboration with the iDE design agency in Belmont-sur-Lausanne, within the framework of its partnership with CN Serpentine S.A., has conceived, designed and manufactured the first two capsules. |
