C Class Hydros - 2013

of

Fabrication of two wing sailed foiling catamarans for the Hydros team in view of their participation to the Class C World Championship held in Falmouth (UK) in september 2013.

These boats where the first catamarans ever to be built with Thin Ply Technology. TPT is revolutionizing the world of laminate composites with significantly improved mechanical properties and the freedom to position each microfiber optimally for its intended use, with no limitation to angle, area or thickness.

It all started with wishes, dreams and ambitions; underlying the project, there were blueprints, ideas, and animated discussions. And then the ideas took shape: there were drafts, calculations, and plans; everything had to be considered, and nothing forgotten, as every gram counted.
The quest for performance was key and superfluous weight had to be shed.
